- Kapha (jord + vand): Struktur, stabilitet, udholdenhed
Din unikke kombination kaldes din prakriti (naturlig konstitution).
Kend din dosha
Vata-typen
Fysisk: Slank, let bygning, tør hud, kolde hænder/fødder, uregelmæssig fordøjelse.
Mentalt: Kreativ, hurtig tænker, entusiastisk — men let urolig, angst-tilbøjelig, glemsom.
I ubalance: Søvnløshed, angst, forstoppelse, leddsmerter, rastløshed.
Pitta-typen
Fysisk: Medium bygning, varm krop, stærk fordøjelse, tendens til rødme/betændelse.
Mentalt: Fokuseret, målrettet, intelligent, leder-type — men let irritabel, perfektionistisk, kritisk.
I ubalance: Halsbrand, hudproblemer, vrede, inflammation, udbrændthed.
Kapha-typen
Fysisk: Kraftig bygning, blød hud, langsom fordøjelse, god udholdenhed, sover dybt.
Mentalt: Rolig, stabil, loyal, tålmodig — men kan blive doven, tilknyttet, modstandsdygtig over for forandring.
I ubalance: Vægtøgning, slimdannelse, depression, letargi, tilbageholdelse.
Yoga for Vata
- Langsomme, rolige flows — Hatha, Restorative, Yin
Yoga for Pitta
- Moderate flows uden konkurrenceelement
Yoga for Kapha
- Dynamiske flows — Vinyasa, Power, Ashtanga

Yoga and Ayurveda are two sides of the same coin. Yoga works with the mind and body through postures, breathing, and meditation. Ayurveda works with the body and mind through diet, lifestyle, and natural medicine. Together, they form a complete system for health and wellbeing — and it begins with knowing your dosha.
What is a dosha?
In Ayurveda, everything — including you — consists of five basic elements: earth, water, fire, air, and ether (space). These combine into three doshas (bio-energies) that govern your physical and mental constitution:
- Vata (air + ether): Movement, creativity, change
- Pitta (fire + water): Transformation, digestion, ambition
- Kapha (earth + water): Structure, stability, endurance
Everyone has all three doshas, but most people have one or two that dominate. Your unique combination is called your prakriti (natural constitution).
Know your dosha
The Vata type
Physical: Slim, light build, dry skin, cold hands/feet, irregular digestion.
Mental: Creative, quick thinker, enthusiastic — but easily restless, anxiety-prone, forgetful.
Out of balance: Insomnia, anxiety, constipation, joint pain, restlessness.
The Pitta type
Physical: Medium build, warm body, strong digestion, tendency toward redness/inflammation.
Mental: Focused, goal-oriented, intelligent, leader type — but easily irritable, perfectionist, critical.
Out of balance: Heartburn, skin problems, anger, inflammation, burnout.
The Kapha type
Physical: Solid build, soft skin, slow digestion, good endurance, sleeps deeply.
Mental: Calm, stable, loyal, patient — but can become lazy, attached, resistant to change.
Out of balance: Weight gain, mucus formation, depression, lethargy, holding on.
"In Ayurveda, there is no 'one size fits all'. Your body, your mind, and your practice are unique — and the treatment should be too."
