A focused 4-week programme

Achieve your splits — one workshop at a time

Our Splits Course is a 4-week programme with 8 × 90-minute workshops where you gradually learn to work safely and effectively with splits — both front splits (both sides) and middle splits. The programme is designed for you who want lasting results and a body that feels strong, open and stable.

  • 8 × 90-minute workshops over 4 weeks — with time for recovery and integration.
  • Each week: one technique workshop in the non-heated room + one deeper practice in the heated room.
  • Heated sessions take place in our hot room at Hot Yoga Copenhagen (same address).
  • Focus on both front splits (right/left) and middle splits — with clear techniques and variations.

Each session combines:

  • Thorough warm-up & mobility training
  • Front splits and middle splits practice
  • A special focus area (e.g. hip flexors, hamstrings, rotation or creative variations)
  • Cool-down & recovery focusing on the nervous system and sustainable flexibility

The course is built in three phases: Foundation & anatomy (hip flexors, hamstrings, adductors and rotation), Strength & flexibility in balance (active control and deeper stretches) and Advanced variations & creative transitions (backbending splits, arm balances and fluid entries/exits from splits). You always know what you're working on — and why.

Frequently asked questions

No — the course is designed for all levels. You don't need to be able to do the splits beforehand. We work step by step with both strength and flexibility, so you learn the techniques safely and can feel progress regardless of your starting point.

The full programme gives the clearest progression because each workshop builds on the previous one. You have time to integrate between sessions and can track your development week by week. The per-workshop price is also lower when you sign up for the full course. However, each session is designed to also work as a standalone workshop if you only want drop-in.

Each week one of the two workshops is heated in our hot room at Hot Yoga Copenhagen (same location). The temperature is approximately 38°C with around 65% humidity. The heat makes it easier to release tension and go deeper into the stretches in a controlled and safe way. The other workshop takes place in a non-heated room, where we focus more on technique, strength, alignment and awareness — so you can apply it in both heated and normal conditions.

Always inform the instructor about any injuries when you arrive. We work with gradual progression, many variations and clear alternatives, so you can adapt the practice to your body. The focus is on safety, sustainable flexibility and avoiding overloading.

The course is for both dedicated yoga students and teachers. As a teacher, you'll gain plenty of inspiration for sequences, cues and safe ways to build splits over time. As a student, you'll get structured training, understanding of anatomy and concrete techniques to take back to your own practice.

You choose. You begin. You breathe. You open. One day, you're there. your body feels free.

Sita Bhuller – Lead Trainer, Splits course

Sita is originally from England and has spent most of her adult life touring as an aerialist and acrobat. For over 15 years she has worked for Cirque du Soleil and other international companies, performing and teaching around the world — always with a focus on strength, flexibility and body control in extreme positions including splits.

With a degree in Sport Science, Sita has a deep understanding of anatomy, movement mechanics and the balance between strength, mobility and recovery. She knows what happens in hip flexors, hamstrings, adductors and core when working with splits — and how to do it safely and gradually, so the body grows stronger instead of overloaded.

In 2017 she completed her 200-hour training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga in Rishikesh, India. Today she combines her experience as a performer with yoga's calm and focus. In the Splits course at Yoga Bible, Sita guides you step by step, building flexibility and active control — with clear techniques, respect for the body's boundaries and room for both front and middle splits in a safe and sustainable way.

What you'll be able to do after the course

Imagine sliding into full front splits, holding a controlled middle splits, or moving in and out of deep hip openers with ease. It's not a dream — it's what you'll build, workshop by workshop.

What are splits?

Splits are deep stretches where the legs work in opposite directions — from gentle, supported variations to full floor level. It requires both hip mobility, strength and patience to work safely towards your splits.

In our programme it's not about forcing yourself down in one evening, but about creating space over time with technique, breathing and intelligent warm-up. We combine active stretches, strength around hips and core, and calm, longer-held poses.

We work with all types of splits — front/longitudinal splits (right/left leg forward), middle splits, variations with blocks and bolsters, and safe transitions in and out, protecting knees, hips and lower back.

The course is for both students who want to give their hips more freedom in everyday life,
and teachers who want concrete sequences, cues and safety principles for deep hip openers and splits work.

Gentle hip opener with support blocks
Front splits with hip alignment focus
Active splits variation with leg strength
Middle splits with controlled depth
Transition into splits with support and technique
Release and neutralisation after deep hip openers
