You can take yoga teacher training alongside work when the teaching dates, personal practice and assignments all fit your calendar. Yoga Bible’s 18-week programme offers weekday and weekend tracks, with the option to move between corresponding workshops. The next cohort starts on 22 February 2027 and finishes on 27 June 2027.

The programme describes an expected commitment of 15–20 hours per week including teaching, practice and homework. Treat this as a planning allowance: the workload is uneven across the calendar. Some weeks contain more workshops, while others leave more space for independent work.

Begin with an actual teaching week

The opening week of the current spring timetable shows how the tracks mirror each other. Hatha and class management are introduced on Monday 22 February, 10:00–15:00, or Saturday 27 February, 13:00–18:00. The introduction to Vinyasa and Yin runs on Wednesday 24 February, 10:00–15:00, or Sunday 28 February, 14:00–19:00.

Attending one version of each workshop gives ten teaching hours. You also need space for studio practice, assignments and travel. Check the full February–June 2027 timetable; this is one actual week, rather than a pattern that repeats throughout the course.

Separate the different demands on your time

ActivityHow to plan it
WorkshopsEnter the actual dates from your chosen track
Studio practiceFind classes that work around your job
Assignments and readingReserve periods when you can concentrate
Travel and changingAdd time around the session itself
RestKeep time free from work and study commitments

A workshop starting at 13:00 may be one part of that weekend’s study commitments. Check what needs preparation and how the practice requirements fit around it. This matters especially if your job involves changing shifts or unpredictable finishing times.

Use the mirrored workshops deliberately

The weekday and weekend tracks offer corresponding topics, instructors and structure. The programme describes moving between the relevant dates. Choose a base track, then identify the weeks when the other option solves a specific conflict.

If you work conventional weekdays, the weekend track may provide a starting point. Flexible working hours could allow a weekday workshop to free up part of your weekend. Use the timetable’s conflict tool, and include individual family events, travel and busy work periods.

A flexible calendar works best when you already know which dates need an alternative plan.

Agree space with the people sharing your week

Review the dates with your employer or family where relevant. Discuss specific arrangements for leave, shifts or childcare. People can respond more usefully to a particular Monday or weekend than to a general request for more study time.

Then try a week with your intended practice and reading periods before deciding. This is an editorial planning exercise, rather than an admissions test. It helps reveal whether evenings and travel work in reality, and where adjustments are needed.

Clarify absence arrangements early

The current programme page states a maximum of ten percent missed hours and describes make-up sessions, with completion in a later cohort potentially available in special circumstances. Online participation, recordings and materials can support learning. Ask what applies to the particular workshop or assessment you might miss.

A recording does not automatically replace every practical requirement. Bring known conflicts to your conversation and request a specific plan. Remember that assignments still need completing even if you can watch a workshop at another time.

Three questions about training and work

Can I keep a full-time job?

The format is designed to combine with work. Whether it fits you depends on your shifts, travel and room for the overall study commitment.

Is there teaching every weekend?

No. Workshops run on selected dates. The complete timetable shows teaching periods and free weeks, so you can assess the full calendar.

What if both tracks clash with an event?

Contact the school before relying on an alternative. Any arrangement needs to meet attendance rules and completion requirements.
