Det er mere realistisk end du tror
De fleste af vores studerende havde præcis de samme tanker, inden de startede. De var ikke professionelle udøvere. De var lærere, sygeplejersker, programmører, ledere og studerende. Fælles for dem alle? De lyttede til de tegn, kroppen og sindet sendte — i stedet for at ignorere dem.
Her er fem tegn på, at du er klar til at gå fra kontorstol til yogamåtte.
1. Du tæller ned til din næste klasse
Når den bedste del af din uge er de 60-90 minutter på måtten, siger det noget. Yoga er ikke længere bare motion eller afslapning — det er blevet det sted, hvor du føler dig mest dig selv. Hvis du kender den følelse, er det ikke tilfældigt.
2. Du retter ubevidst på andres alignment
Du ser nogen i Warrior II med indadroteret knæ, og du mærker det i hele kroppen. Du har lyst til at sige noget, hjælpe, justere. Det er ikke irritation — det er underviserinstinktet, der banker på. Og det er et af de stærkeste tegn.

3. Du føler at noget mangler i dit arbejdsliv
Lønnen er fin. Titlen er fin. Men der er en fornemmelse af, at du bruger din tid på noget, der ikke betyder nok. Det handler ikke om at hade dit job — det handler om at mærke, at du har mere at give. Yoga giver dig mulighed for at arbejde med mennesker på det dybeste plan: krop, åndedræt og bevidsthed.
4. Du er bange — men nysgerrig
Frygt er ikke et stopskilt. Det er et vejskilt. Hvis tanken om at stå foran en klasse giver sommerfugle — ikke lammelse — er det et sundhedstegn. Alle gode yogalærere startede med nervøsitet. Forskellen er, at de handlede på nysgerrigheden i stedet for at vente på at frygten forsvandt.
5. Du tror det er for sent — men ved det ikke er
"Jeg er 38, er det for sent?" Nej. "Jeg kan ikke stå på hænder." Det behøver du heller ikke. "Jeg har kun praktiseret i to år." Det er nok. En 200-timers yogalæreruddannelse er ikke en afslutning — den er en begyndelse. Du behøver ikke at være perfekt. Du skal bare være villig til at lære.
Vejen behøver ikke være dramatisk
Det er her mange stopper: de tror, at de skal sige deres job op, flytte til Bali og leve af ris og mantraer. Virkeligheden er langt mere pragmatisk.

Here are five signs you're ready to go from office chair to yoga mat.
1. You count down to your next class
When the best part of your week is those 60-90 minutes on the mat, that says something. Yoga is no longer just exercise or relaxation — it's become the place where you feel most like yourself. If you know that feeling, it's not a coincidence.
2. You unconsciously correct other people's alignment
You see someone in Warrior II with an internally rotated knee and you feel it in your entire body. You want to say something, help, adjust. That's not irritation — it's the teacher instinct knocking. And it's one of the strongest signs there is.

3. You feel something is missing in your work life
The salary is fine. The title is fine. But there's a sense that you're spending your time on something that doesn't matter enough. It's not about hating your job — it's about sensing that you have more to give. Yoga lets you work with people on the deepest level: body, breath, and awareness.
4. You're scared — but curious
Fear isn't a stop sign. It's a signpost. If the thought of standing in front of a class gives you butterflies — not paralysis — that's a healthy sign. Every good yoga teacher started with nerves. The difference is they acted on the curiosity instead of waiting for the fear to disappear.
5. You think it's too late — but know it isn't
"I'm 38, is it too late?" No. "I can't do a handstand." You don't need to. "I've only been practising for two years." That's enough. A 200-hour yoga teacher training isn't an ending — it's a beginning. You don't need to be perfect. You just need to be willing to learn.
